Seawater Desalination For Carlsbad
Carlsbad’s future quality of life depends on having a reliable and affordable supply of water. Prolonged drought, environmental problems and legal restrictions on the Colorado River and the Bay-Delta in Northern California have triggered the need to develop new water supplies, ideally ones that are locally controlled.
The Carlsbad Desalination Project is a 50-million gallon a day seawater desalination plant that will supply the San Diego region with approximately 10 percent of its drinking water needs. The project, being developed by Poseidon Resources Corp., will be the first large scale desalination plant on the West Coast and the largest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. It will be located next to the Carlsbad power plant at the corner of Carlsbad Boulevard and Cannon Road.
Poseidon Resources Corp. is in the process of finalizing the project’s financing and working with the San Diego County Water Authority on the details of a water purchase arrangement. The project could be completed as early as 2013.

One of the best walking trails in Carlsbad
The Batiquitos Lagoon is one of the best walks in Carlsbad. It goes for about one and half miles along the world famous Arnold Palmer golf course in Aviara, California. This time of the year there a lot of birds that make their nests. My favorite one to watch is the Great Blue Heron. The lagoon is a bird sanctuary and a preserved wetland.Just another reason to live in beautiful Carlsbad!!!! Win the day………
The commute home from work
My drive home from work is only about 5 miles. Instead of taking the freeway to make a quick drive home last night,I took the coast. You can see what a tough drive it is………These are some of the photos along the Pacific Coast Highway in Carlsbad. The sunset was beautiful as you can see. Also, there are photos of today .It is my assistant Cindy’s birthday. We went to The Beach House for lunch. It is located in Cardiff By The Sea.This place is really cool. You sit right on the sand and your view is watching the stand up paddle bord surfers in the blue Pacific Ocean. The food was also good.(wow… great food and views). It is whale watching season so we were hoping we would see some whales swimming by-but no luck. Lots of Seagulls wandering around and Pelicans doing some Swan dives catching their lunch.Win The Day, Chrissie

I will post some pictures this week.I talked to my son who lives in Edmond Ok.,where it is freezing cold.He said he never realized how great he had it.Sometimes I hate to tell him how beautiful it is here because it depresses him too much.WIN THE DAY!!!!!!
My vision for 2009
Thanks for taking the time to read my Blog.I have been putting this off for months.Everyday was the day I was going to start. No more excuses!!! 2009 is here, and what a great opportunity to buy property in the North County San Diego. We just put into escrow a home for a buyer that was valued in 2006 for 602,000. They are VA buyers who bought it in the low, low 400,000’s (not public record yet) plus we negotiated 16,000 closing cost that the seller paid on behalf of the buyer. What a great deal for our clients!!!! The home is in Oceanside close to the ocean, shopping, schools. What more could you ask for?? My vision and Goal for 2009 is to help 60 people get into homes.Whether it’s their first home or 2nd. or 3rd.or………This year is going to bring The American Dream to life for many buyers, the lowest prices in years and financing in the 4%. It doesn’t get any better. Win The Day !!!!!! Chrissie
