The city also hosts a botanical garden and a marine life refuge, the San Elijo Lagoon Reserve, which is the largest coastal wetland in San Diego.
Experience the uniqueness of the town during its street fairs. It’s easy to catch up with friends while sipping a glass of wine at any of the outside cafés. Encinitas, known as a flower-growing capital, has many greenhouses scattered throughout the community. There’s no better place to buy all sorts of varieties of poinsettias.
